From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Grittleton House School is a small, family-run independent co-educational school for children who range in age from 2-16. The house itself, in Grittleton near Chippenham in Wiltshire, is set in 20 acres. The school teaches traditional family values, courtesy, consideration for others, and responsibility for oneself, and attempts to nurture these attributes in small classes.
The school's stated aim is to help each child achieve its fullest potential, be that purely academic or in other fields. Its motto is To strive is to Accomplish. Grittleton House is a non-selective school with a large range of abilities – the brightest children are encouraged to accept more challenges: those who need it will be given extra help until they overcome their particular difficulties. By the time the children leave Grittleton House, the school hopes that not only will they have achieved excellent academic results, but that they will have a feeling of self-worth and the confidence and values to equip them for a happy and successful life in society.
