Grinderman is the self titled debut of the band Grinderman, a side project of various members of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, specifically, Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos. Aiming to recreate the more raw, primal sound of all the band members' pasts, the songs reflect a different side of Nick Cave when compared to his recent work with The Bad Seeds. The album has been received very well by critics, with a Metacritic average of 84 and label of 'Universal Aclaim'
