[edit] Plot
Four friends who are amateur skaters spend the summer after graduating high school trying to get noticed and become professional skaters. There is Eric (Vogel), determined to become a pro skater at any cost. Then there are his friends Dustin (Brody), a goal-oriented workaholic who obsessed with gettting into college, and Matt (Vieluf), a misfit slacker. The three of them recruit the laid-back ladies man, Sweet Lou, to be the fourth man on their skating team.
The four of them travel around from skate demo to skate demo, hoping to get noticed by Jimmy Wilson (London) and his team. Along the way, Eric meets Bam Margera, a pro skater who agrees to look at the group's demo tape. But things go awry when Eric sees Margera arguing with a young lady (Morrison). Eric tries to stick up for the girl, but in the process ruins his chances of Margera watching his demo tape. He begins talk with the girl, Jamie, and they become friends. He learns that Jamie is also traveling to some of the demos. She offers the four a ride but they decline.
The four friends try skating in the demos but they are denied. They create a phony sponsor called "Super Duper Skates" but they are still denied. After traveling to more demos, they learn that Eric's female friend Jamie is actually a pro skater. She is able to get them a spot skating in the demo and they tear up the park, amazing the crowd.
The rock band Blindside made an appearance as a band playing a concert during the skateboarding competition. They played the song Pitiful from their album Silence Aka "Be Quiet".
