Soviet (Russian) Marshal of the Air Force VOROZHEIKIN Grigory Alexeyevich (1895-1974, Russian: Ворожейкин, Григорий Алексеевич) During the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) - commander of the Air Force of theCentral Front, chief of staff of the Red Army's Air Force, commander of an air strike group, first deputy commander of the Red Army's Air Force. On instructions from the Supreme Command Headquarters, coordinated air units' actions in the Velikye Luki operation, in the operations of the Leningrad front and Volkhov fronts to lift the Leningrad blockage, and took part in leading the aviation's actions in the Battle of Kursk. In 1944 - 1945 - representative of the Supreme Command Headquarters at the 3th Ukrainian fronts and 4th Ukrainian fronts.

Was awarded many orders and medals.
