[edit] Cher

Please do not add unsourced images to this article or anything described as "rumor". As this is an encyclopedia, all information must be verifiable. Please also make use of the "Show Preview" function when editing instead of saving the page after every small change. Thanks. -- eo 19:06, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Again, you are adding images to this article with no source information. Please stop this, it is considered vandalism. Before uploading more pictures please see Wikipedia's guide to images. Thank you. -- eo 19:37, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] context

Will you please give your articles context in the title and in the body text. Do you really think it sensible to create an article called albums discography which relates to just one artist? -- RHaworth 16:36, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please use "Show Preview"!

Again, please use the "show preview" button when editing an article. Saving the page after every tiny change clutters up the article's edit history. Take a look at the Cher edit history, almost the entire first page of edits are attributed to you. You've also removed huge amounts of information (such as awards lists, etc.) and placed red links in the article that lead to nowhere. I've (again) reverted your changes!

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. -- eo 19:06, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] November 29

Please stop reverting people's edit on the Cher page. Consult the edit summaries. Using last.fm as a source in an article is not verifiable as the biographies on last.fm are wiki's (contributed by users). Many times last.fm bios are lifted directly from Wikipedia so this will not work as a source. - eo 17:15, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] IMDb

Please do not use IMDb as a source; it is publicly written with very little if any oversight and is not reliable per Wikipedia's verifiability policy.

[edit] Please please please pay attention to what other editors are telling you.

  • Stop uploading images without proper verification of its source. Your most recent upload was yesterday, after a long string of unsourced images and warnings.
  • Stop using IMDb as a source for articles. See above comments and edit summaries about the reliability of this site. In addition, the URL you have added to various sections of the Cher article is IMDb's welcome page, which is useless.
  • Use "Show Preview" instead of "Save Page". In about two hours, you made thirty-nine edits to the Cher article this morning, and nearly the entire first page of its history is cluttered with your edits. Again, see past comments on this page pertaining to that.
  • You've been blocked already for the disruptive way that you're editing the Cher article. Please listen to what editors are telling you over and over or you'll end up blocked again! Thanks. - eo 16:19, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

For failing to heed the above warning, by persistently violating Wikipedia:Copyrights and international copyright law by misrepresenting yourself as the owner of images which you clearly had no legal right to do so, you have now been indefinitely blocked from editing Wikipedia. We cannot allow you to continue jeopardising Wikipedia by exposing the Wikimedia Foundation to legal action over copyright infringement. --  Netsnipe  ►  18:47, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

I have understood my mistake! Sorry

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Cher site logo.gif

Thank you for uploading Image:Cher site logo.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 22:22, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Big13.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Big13.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:29, 19 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 02:29, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
