[edit] Freefoto.com images
Thanks for uploading the Acela images; unfortunately their license does not seem to allow for use on Wikipedia, and even if it was OK under the noncommercial area, that type of license is not being used here due to the inability to transfer to other projects that may come out of WP. If you can find any Acela photos on http://www.trainweb.com/ , those are OK (tag the images with {{trainweb}}).
[edit] Did you know?
A really nice article. --Aranae 16:39, Mar 3, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Brief filmography
Hello. Please note: the section heading above is correct, according to Wikipedia conventions, but "Brief Filmography", with a capital "F", is not. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Similarly "See also" and "External links" are correct; "See Also" and "External Links" are not. Michael Hardy 23:24, 17 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Waves
The picture you added to WAVES is a great addition! ike9898 21:56, May 27, 2005 (UTC)
Hello Great Scott,
I just spoke with Mr. Wool at Wikipedia.
Since I am pretty much clueless about the Internet and Wikipedia, he helped me walk through the process to get to this point.
I am a newspaper columnist. I interviewed Bill Scranton a few days ago. When I read the paragraph pasted below to him, he denied that he supported Dr. Hagelin in 2000.
May I ask where you found that information? I have no idea if Mr. Scranton is being straightforward or not. Any help you could offer would be most appreciated.
Mr. Wool suggested that I spell my e-mail address instead of writing it the normal way.
If you would respond, please send the information to dvassilaros at tribweb dot com
Or if you wish, you could reach me at 412-380-5637. I am in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Or if you wish I would be happy to call you.
Thank you. Dimitri Vassilaros
"Scranton supported John Hagelin, the Natural Law Party candidate and fellow transcendental meditation practitioner, in the 1992 and 2000 presidential elections, but supported President George W. Bush in the 2004 presidential campaign."
[edit] Sources for Isaac Ellmaker Hiester
Hello, some time ago you added a fair bit of content to Isaac Ellmaker Hiester. As you may be aware, we are currently trying to improve Wikipedia's verifiability and reliability by making sure articles cite the sources used to create them. Do you remember what websites, books, or other sources you used to add content to Isaac Ellmaker Hiester? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? See WP:CITET for some quick templates to use for citing sources. Thanks! --best, kevin [kzollman][talk] 22:08, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Cake eaters/List of ethnic slurs
Could you supply a citation for the "cake eaters" edit? I am trying to reference this list, as per WP:V and WP:CITE. Thanks. Guettarda 06:32, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Flemish_cap.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Flemish_cap.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 10:12, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Unforgiven dvd.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Unforgiven dvd.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Quentin X 16:49, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Saleens7.jpg listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Saleens7.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in its not being deleted. Thank you. - ˉˉanetode╦╩ 10:22, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Schweiker.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Schweiker.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 01:19, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:October sky dvd.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use.
