"The current headmaster is Johan Volsteedt, the first headmaster also being an old boy of the school". How could the first headmaster (presumably in 1855) also be an old boy? GrahamBould 13:08, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

This must refer to an older edition of the article and has been resolved. - Raker 17:07, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

The claim that this (Grey) is the third oldest school in the country is not true. The oldest is SACS (South African College Schools)(1829) followed by Wynberg Boys High School (1841) and Bishops (Diocesan College) (1849). St Andrew's College in Grahamstown and Grey College in Bloemfontein were both founded in 1855. This makes both Grey and St Andrew's the fifth oldest schools in the country. Grey High School in Port Elizabeth was subsequently founded in 1856.{unsigned}

There must never be a record of such a period (a SA without GCB)in the near or distant future. Our positve virtues that are entrenched within our pupils must be used to influence the broader population of school-children in Bloemfontein, the Free State and the broader South Africans in general.

You are liberated to liberate; Grey Colleges' prosperous hegemony for the past 150+ years, is the hope that balances our country's trials& tribulations, the rainbow model that distinguishes South Africa from other countries,Grey College is the RAINBOW model that has been succesfully enhanced by all constituencies that make up the Grey family.

I am proud to be an Old Grey,but I wish that the broader masses of South Africa would be encapacitated under the positive influence of Grey College.
