Taterbill: I used to live at Greenwood Ave. and Charles Allen while in college at Georgia Tech, and never knew about this fire. Twenty years later, I live in Denver and read about it in Wikipedia. Cool.

The image shown of the 'fire in the fourth ward' was taken by William 'Bill' Smith. My aunt has the original of this photograph, along with several others of the fire. We will post these additional images just as soon as we get access to a scanner. Elainiac 12:22, 4 October 2006
