Grey High School

Grey High School is a public school for boys located in the city of Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

The school was founded by Sir George Edward Grey, Governor of Cape Colony for the period 5 December 1854 – 15 August 1861. He also founded Grey College, Bloemfontein in 1855. The moto of the school is Tria Juncta in Uno, from the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, of which he was created a Knight Commander in 1848.

There are over 740 boys including 120 boarders and the school celebrated its 150th jubilee in 2006. An incredible school spirit prevails, with boys being immensely proud to say that they attend Grey.In May 2006 over 600 old boys from around the world attended the 150th birthday celebrations.[1]
