Greg Ryan is a former mayor of the city of Banyule. In 2005, he was named "Victoria's Most Popular Mayor" by the Municipal Association of Victoria. In November 2005, he did not restand for his seat after being accused of widespread corruption and abuse of his position as a Victorian Police Officer
