Greg Olsen (born March 11, 1985 in Wayne, New Jersey) is an American football tight end prospect for the 2007 NFL Draft, where he is expected to be the top tight end prospect. Olsen played collegiately at the University of Miami.

Olsen attended Wayne Hills High School. As a high school senior he was one of three finalists for the Gatorade National Player of the Year award along with former teammate Kyle Wright. He was a USA Today First-Team All-American as a senior in 2002. He was rated third overall on ESPN's list of 100 High School players. He totaled 73 career catches for 1,474 yards, a 20.2 yards per catch average and a school-record 27 touchdowns.

Olsen originally enrolled at Notre Dame University but Olsen transfered to the University of Miami in 2003. In 2003, Olsen was on the Hurricanes' scout team before suffering a shoulder injury and was redshirted. He became the starter of the Miami Hurricanes in his sophomore season in 2005 after Kevin Everett was drafted in the third round by the Buffalo Bills. In his career he totaled 85 receptions for 1170 yards (13.8 YPC), and 6 TDs

Olsen was reportedly one of several University of Miami students and football players who participated, under the name "G-Reg", in the recording of "7th Floor Crew", a lewd rap music song about the seventh floor of the University of Miami's Mahoney Residential Hall.

Olsen has signed with NFL agent and fellow University of Miami alumnus Drew Rosenhaus. He is entering the 2007 NFL Draft, where he is regarded as the best tight end available in the draft. He ran 4.51 second forty-yard dash at the NFL combine and is considered a likely first round NFL draft selection.[1]
