Greg Kot

Greg Kot has been the rock critic of the Chicago Tribune since 1990. His biography of Wilco and the state of the music industry, Wilco: Learning How to Die, was published in 2004 by Doubleday/Broadway Books. He is a regular contributor to Rolling Stone and other national periodicals, and is the music analyst for Fox-TV morning newscasts. His work also has appeared in Encyclopaedia Britannica and numerous books, including Harrison, a Rolling Stone tribute to George Harrison; The Trouser Press Guide to '90s Rock; and the Rolling Stone Album Guide. He also appears on the radio show Sound Opinions each week with his partner, Chicago Sun Times music critic, Jim DeRogatis. It is on Saturday nights at 7PM CST on Chicago Public Radio (91.5 FM WBEZ Chicago, WBEZ 89.6 FM Chesteron, and WBEQ 90.7 FM Morris).

Greg lives on Chicago's Northwest Side with his wife and two daughters.
