Greenergy is a company formed in 1992 for the purpose of supplying fuels with a lower environmental impact. The company specialises in bio fuels and low carbon technologies.

It is 25% owned by Tesco who are also a major customer. Tesco's 99 RON petrol is supplied by Greenergy. It includes 5% bioethanol, a renewable but also high-octane product which provides lower emissions of greenhouse gas and carbon dioxide.[1] Similarly, Tesco's Global Diesel brand is made by Greenergy from 5% biodiesel, while the Tesco Biodiesel brand found in the South-East of the UK is made from 100% processed vegetable oil.
