Greene C. Bronson

Greene C. Bronson was New York State Attorney General from February 27, 1829 to January 12, 1836. A Democrat from Utica, he served under Governors Martin Van Buren and Enos T. Throop.
Bronson was appointed by the New York State Legislature when his predecessor, Samuel A. Talcott, resigned due to "irregular habits." After his tenure as attorney general, he was a court of appeals judge from 1847 to 1851.
