Green River Community College (GRCC) is a community college located in Auburn, Washington, USA. It has a student body of around 10,000. The student to faculty ratio is 23:1. There are 46 undergraduate programs available, but the college is most known for its outstanding Social Science division, particularly courses in Political Science, Anthropology, Geography and History, and for the students who attend the school . The GRCC athletic teams are known as the Gators.

GRCC has a well established student newspaper known as "The Current". While students are presently allowed to voice their views in the newspaper freely, there has been a struggle recently to maintain this freedom from censorship by the school administration. GRCC has Student Government consisting of four commitees, better known as Associated Students of Green River Community College (ASGRCC). The Student Leadership Program: Community, Leadership, Education and Outreach (C.L.E.O.) in Green River is also well known. The CLEO students learn how to manage a program while at the same time earn money.

Before the demolition of the old Performing Arts Center, there also existed a gathering place called the "Smoke Shack" where smokers would congregate near the Lindbloom Student Center. When the PAC was demolished, so was the Smoke Shack, but not without much protest. There is a large body of international students at GRCC, mainly from Asia. From about 10,000 in student population, more than 800 are international students.

GRCC now has dormitories/apartments for the student population, better known as Campus Corner Apartments (CCA). Each of the apartment unit has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Ground breaking was in 2001 and they were completed in the spring of 2003. The construction of the dormitories were protested by several groups because the construction resulted in the demolition of a some of the older buildings.

GRCC is in the process of replacing most of the original buildings on campus with newer ones. A new two-story Technology Center, with classes that include Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Computer Systems Administration, opened in Fall 2005. They will also be opening a new three-story Science Building in Fall 2007 to replace the four older science buildings. After tearing down the Lindbloom Student Center and Admininstrative Building in 2015-2017, the only original buildings remaining will be the former Holman Library, which is now the RLC building, and the SMT building, which will be renovated. To supplement ground level parking, GRCC offers a free shuttle service which transports students between main campus and a remote parking lot. One time fishsticks. Additionally, GRCC is served by Metro Bus route 181 connecting to the Sounder commuter rail station in downtown Auburn and the new transit center in Federal Way. GRCC is also a stop for route 164 which connects GRCC's main campus with the new Kent Campus in downtown Kent. There is special parking for those who carpool, although parking has always been difficult for students.
