Green Guide

"The Green Guide to the Mexican Caribbean" is a Mexiconservacion publication. It is a colorful bi-lingual manual (English/Spanish) designed to educate both individuals and businesses as to the value of the Mexican Caribbean's biodiversity and the threats it faces.

The aim of the Green Guide is to arm both tourists and the tourist industry with the basic tools necessary for the protection of the region’s fragile ecosystems. It includes conservation guidelines relating to sea turtles, coral reefs, mangroves, seagrasses, cenotes (or sinkholes), lagoons and beaches. It also offers good practices recommendations for sport fishing, recreational boating and hotel and restaurant management.

The Green Guide is designed to be a permanent manual of reference in hotel rooms throughout the Mexican Caribbean.
