Green Dragons are the third most powerful of the fictional Dungeons & Dragons chromatic (evil) dragons. Red and Blue dragons are more powerful and Black and White dragons are less powerful than Green Dragons. Green Dragons have played a prominent role on the cover of a number of Dungeons & Dragons books including the Dungeons and Dragons Basic Rule Set 1.

In the AD&D universe a Green Dragon's breath weapon is poisonous gas and its habitat is forests.

In the Dragonlance novels, it is noted that the Green Dragon language contains more vile curses than any other language known.
