Green Card

Green Card can refer to:

  • United States Permanent Resident Card, an identification document issued by the United States of America affording non-citizens of that country some of the rights its citizens enjoy, sometimes with the prospect of naturalization.
    • Used figuratively for granting of permanent residency by any country
    • German Green Card, a now superseded category of temporary residency in Germany intended to apply to skilled IT guest workers. See Immigration to Germany
    • Green Card, an international motor insurance certificate, part of the International Motor Insurance Card System, used in and around Europe.
  • In field hockey, a green card signals a warning to a player, less severe than a yellow card.
