Greek Super Cup

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Greek Super Cup (Greek: Σούπερ Κάπ Ελλάδος) was a Greek association football trophy, contested between 1987 and 1996 in an annual match between the Greek league champion team and the winners of the Greek Cup. If a team had won The Double (both the Championship and the Cup), the Double winner played the Greek Cup finalist, something which happened in the 1995 edition of the Super Cup. The match was contested at the beginning of the football season, always in the Athens Olympic Stadium, except the last Super Cup that was played in Karaiskaki in 1996. Panathinaikos has the record of three times champion.
