[edit] Success and Fan Reviews

Most hardcore Creed fans saw the album mostly as a 'good buy' due to the DVD that was included. However, many fans feel that the album should have included rare tracks like "Young Grow Old" which were not released on the original 3 albums. The Greatest Hits album seemed to be a quick release, rather than a long collaboration to give the fans something new. The lack of originality of the album was more than likely due to the tension between Scott Stapp and the rest of the band, making it so the band members could not sit down and agree on any tracks other than the hit singles to go on the album. The album featured songs that were all well known, and that anyone with all 3 past Creed albums already had access to.

Many fans hope that one day a better album will be released that includes hit songs, fan favorites, rare hidden tracks, and acoustic and live performances.

The album went platinum, which is weak in comparison to Creed's other 3 albums. However, this is probably because solid Creed fans who had all the past 3 CDs had no need for the Greatest Hits album since it only offered tracks that they already had.

As of early October 2006, the album has sold 1.3 units and is still on the top 200 album charts almost two years since the release of the album. Each week, the album averages 3,000 - 5,000 units sold.
