Greater Mekong Subregion

Greater Mekong Subregion, abbreviation: GMS) is a geological region that includes nations and territories located in Mekong River basin, namly: Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Burma and Yunnan Province of China.[1] This is an addition to the Mekong Subregion originally exlusive of Yunnan Province. From 1992 on, with the assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB), these nations have cooperated in economic programs, environmental proctection.
