Great Floridian Triathlon

The Great Floridian Triathlon is an Ironman distance multisport event that takes place in Clermont, Florida in October. This endurance event consists of the following:
Swim : A 2.4 mile swim around Lake Minneola, Florida.
Bike : A 112 mile course consisting of two 56 mile loops along rural country roads.
Run : The 26.2 mile criterion style course , starting with a five mile loop, followed by three laps around Lake Minneola.
The event is considered an independent event, as it is not sanctioned through the WTC. It is operated by Sommer Sports, which will re-brand itself as Tri-America. The event has a start time of 7:30 AM, generally October 20th of every year, with a mandatory cut-off of 1:00 AM.
