Great American Bathroom Book
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Great American Bathroom Book is the name of a three book series - Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3, published in 1992, 1993 and 1994, respectively. The books were published by Compact Classics, a small US publishing house.
The vast majority of the books is devoted to short two page summaries of classic literature - allowing one to finish the topic at hand in one 'sitting'. It achieved great popularity as bathroom reading material relatively quickly, with all books combined reportedly selling three million copies.[citation needed]
The books are currently out of print, but Vol. 1 has been reprinted under a new title - Passing Time in the Loo.
