From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Greasy is also the name of a Census Designated Place in Oklahoma.

Greasy is a small rural community located in Adair County, Oklahoma, in the Cookson Hills along Greasy Creek; from which the community took its name. The creek was named for a lard-rendering operation that once existed in the area.

The Greasy Post Office existed for a short time between April 29, 1920, and October 15, 1921. The Greasy school is located about two miles in a northerly direction from the crossroads.
