I was unaware that the article was ever deleted. I thought I was putting up an original article. When was it deleted? Was this prior to me becoming a member? I remove following a conclusion to a talk. If someone would like to view my history they are free to. Thank you. 205.188.116.6 23:20, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

I've contacted the blocking administrator for comment; in the meantime, please bear with us, and thank you for your patience. Luna Santin 07:13, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

the block is based on a checkuser and the sum of this user's behaviour which follows the pattern of the other socks of MyKungfu. pschemp | talk 12:06, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm looking at this an i'm confused. So a checkuser was brought by mrdarcy? why? he said if i needed any help to see him. [1] . this is really confusing. i said i didn't want any help [2] , so he accuses me of a violation? should i simply not use aol? that is the safest browser for me. my behavior follows a pattern? can you tell me what the pattern is? [3] because for the most part i do simple additions and did some research on a few things. Stacey Dash and Barry Bond's primarily, thanks. GrandWizard 13:18, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

My name is in honor of Grand Wizard Theodore [4] a African American DJ who invented scratching. There has never been any even remotely racist thing that i've ever stated against any race group. I have actualy been quite supportive of race groups on this site [5], i find Stacey Dash to be very sexy [6]. I found it really strange with how MrDarcy always appeared at 2 articles in which I wrote at from Barry Bonds [7], to the Earl Wyapp Vendetta Ride [8] . I took a look at his history and I looked and it seems like he wrote to have me banned b/c of my username, but it was denied [9] , all you have to do is ask me about it. I am a big fan of old school hip hop. I am also black. Please take a look into this and reconsider. I haven't done anything controversial and have always been constructive. [edit] Username

any new progress?

After some further consultation with other administrators, we're going to have to insist that you change your username before we unblock you. Some users WILL find your username offensive. Per Wikipedia:Username "Fairly or unfairly, the line between acceptable and unacceptable user names is drawn by those who find the username inappropriate, not by the creator of the name."

Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it may be rude or inflammatory, unnecessarily long/confusing, too similar to an existing user, contains the name of an organization, website or non-Latin characters, or is otherwise inappropriate (see our blocking and username policies for more information). You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username, and in a constructive manner. Wikipedia:Username provides guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may edit your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you.

Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible — if this doesn't happen within an hour or so, please email an administrator and explain the situation (see the list of administrators).

If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new username, please follow these directions: (1) Add {{unblock-un|new username}} to your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page. (2) Soon, an admin may come to unblock you. (3) You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request on Wikipedia:Changing username before you may be re-blocked. Note that this can only be done before you create the new one. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is a lot easier to create a new account.

I honestly feel that this isn't fair. Pilotguy had no problem with it. Pilotguy (Talk | contribs) (→User/IP reported - first blocked, no prob with second. so EMPTY) [10]. Everyone will have a problem with something. As I stated i'm black meaning African American. People may find a problem with using an X as in "malcolm x" as part of your username b/c they were a black separatist group. You stated "is a lot easier to create a new account." but if i'm blocked can't you simply close my account because I was blocked before? If I change my SN to GrandWizardJamal which I think would use part of my name...I feel that could be the best compromise or if i place a link or write out that the SN is in honor of GrandWizard Theodore. GrandWizard 07:57, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

No. The problem with your account name is specifically "Grand Wizard". Pschemp (talkcontribs) is willing to assume good faith and agree to your unblocking by Unblock Review on the condition that you choose a non-offensive username. --  Netsnipe  ►  16:12, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

reading over what pschemp said [11] would MCGrandWizard work or DJGrandWizard since he stated that HIPHOPGrandWizard would be ok? On the real though, i don't see why i've been given all this trouble! I was blocked for something that was approved by an administrator in teh past. GrandWizard 00:06, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Any of those would work. If you pick a name that makes it clear what kind of grand wizard you are referring to, then you'll never have to worry about people misinterpreting it down the road. Its already been misinterpreted once, so fixing it now will save future aggravation. pschemp | talk 00:37, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

alright, step by step, type out the process for me to do. Once the account is unblocked i'm basically not suppossed to edit with it anymore, right? GrandWizard 12:36, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Tell us what account name you want to change to and we'll forward the request to Wikipedia:Changing usernames and once that's taken care of, you'll be unblocked. --  Netsnipe  ►  14:07, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reasons:

Allowing username change to McGrandWizard (talk contribs). Please make this request promptly, or you may be blocked once more. Thanks for your patience.

Request handled by: Luna Santin 04:44, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] GrandWizard → McGrandWizard.

  • Current name: GrandWizard
  • Requested name: McGrandWizard
  • Reason: Some people have problems with my SN. Thank you. McGrandWizard. 22:03, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Please log in as User:GrandWizard and reply to confirm that you have control of this account. I suggest changing to User:McGrandWizard, as this is available and does not have a confusing "." at the end. Warofdreams talk 03:17, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
See this users contributions so far for three requests identical to the above, although the crat is probably aware of this already. [12] Ansell 22:09, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Not done per above. Warofdreams talk 03:52, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

wiki said it couldn't be changed b/c McGrandWizard is too similiar to McGrandWizard. McGrandWizard. 15:52, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
