[edit] Edgars Masalskis
Hi, I think you need to expand this article. For example, I found out (via Google) that he is a hockey player, but you don't mention that. In fact, the article doesn't really explain anything.
I think that Edgars Masalskis is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, but you need to explain more. Thanks!

The same applies to the other similar articles you wrote, such as Mihails Arhipovs. Please include some more information! Fourohfour 15:32, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright
Hi, I see you've uploaded some pictures of Latvian bobsledders, like Janis Minins (Image:Minins.jpg) and Gatis Guts (Image:Guts.jpg). This is a bit of a problem - because of copyright law we can't just take pictures from sites like www.bobslejs.lv, because the guy with the copyright (Andris Jurga, according to the site) want to be paid for that right (and all content on Wikipedia can be legally copied to anywhere). I've therefore put a notice up on those images, and they will be deleted soon unless there's any tag on Wikipedia:Image copyright tags that applies (I don't think there is from looking at the site, but if you want to try to get permission from the owner to license it under an open content license, you can). --Sam Vimes 16:58, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Latvian ice hockey
Hey, I've noticed you have an interest in the Latvia ice hockey team? I'm going to try getting all the American and Canadian player articles upto a respectable state before the Games. Are you up to doing the same for the Latvian players? Check out: Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey and and of the players I fixed up at Philadelphia Flyers. ccwaters 13:51, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- Its up to you if you want to add you name to that. You are obviously welcome to do so.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Sportsp.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sportsp.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or ask for help at Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. Thank you. -- Carnildo 07:34, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Olaine.gerb.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Olaine.gerb.png. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Junior B Teams
Hello, a user has decided that he does not want us placing hockey stubs on Wikipedia to expand later into teams. In particular he doesn't like Junior teams... I was wondering if you could please voice your opinion. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thunder Bay Northern Hawks DMighton 02:48, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] German Wikipedia - de:Lettische Eishockeyliga
Dear Gragox, I've moved your article about the Latvijas Atklātais čempionāts in the German Wikipedia to de:Lettische Eishockeyliga in order to correct a spelling mistake. Furthermore, I've added some information to the article, like its new name "Samsung Premjerlīga" and the fact that one of the six teams is from Lithuania. It would be nice if you could check the new version to see whether everything is correct. Some more information, for example about the history of the league, would be greatly appreciated as well :). Best Regards, --Uwe 15:06, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
