Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory

The Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) mission is a Discovery Program proposal which would use high-quality gravity field mapping of the Moon to determine the its interior structure. Maria Zuber of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is GRAIL's principal investigator. NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, would manage the project. This mission has recently been selected by NASA to receive $1.2 million to conduct a concept study.
