Gravitar (band)

Psyche/Noise/Rock band formed in the early 1990's in Ann Arbor MI. Initial members included Eric Cook (drums, also of Bantam Rooster, Persona), Harold Richardson (guitar, later of Easy Action, Negative Approach) and Geoff Walker (vocals/various, later of Basketcase, Magnetic Lucifer). First releasing albums on the Charnel House label of San Francisco, they employed a sound once described as "your favorite nightmare collaboration of Sun Ra and Black Sabbath." Later, joined Mike Walker (vocals/guitar later of Bogue, Detroit City Council, Cuckold) They released a handful of critically acclaimed albums for Enterruption, Manifold, Monotremata, as well as others.
