Grassfire.org is an organization promoting grassroots conservatism. Its president is Steve Elliott, and its causes include pro-life action, opposing homosexual marriage and illegal immigration. It is notable for obtaining over 327,758 petitions for the pardon of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, which have been ignored, as the two are currently in prison. In February 2007, it launched FireSociety.com.
