Graphic Adventure Creator (often shortened to GAC) was a game creation system/programming language for adventure games published by Incentive Software and written by Sean Ellis and Brendan Kelly. The pictures in the demo adventure, Ransom, was made by Pete James and the box cover art by Pete Carter.
GAC was available for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC. Compared to The Quill the earlier was the leading development system it had a more advanced parser (allowing commands like GET THE LAMP THEN LIGHT IT) compared to the simple verb-noun parser of The Quill and built-in graphics editor that caused it to quickly become popular and over 117 titles was witten using GAC. It also came with a built in text compressor. However, the release of Professional Adventure Writer caused intrest to move to that platform instead.
