Grant Billmeier is listed at 6'10," 252 lbs [2] and plays center for the Seton Hall University Pirates in the Big East. He is currently a senior captain. Billmeier attended St. Patrick's High School. He wore the number 33 at St. Patrick's, but wore 41 at Seton Hall his freshman and sophomore years because the number 33 was already taken by Andre Sweet. Upon Sweet's graduation, Billmeier had his number changed back to 33. He was recruited as a three star prospect as per Scout.com.[3] He is often referred to as a "savage" for obvious reasons and is a fan favorite. He is also known as "G-Banger".

2005-06: Scored eight points and pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds vs. Morgan State... Scored 11 points and blocked two shots in 21 minutes of play vs. Iona... Scored four points and pulled down seven rebounds against Marquette... Scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds vs. South Florida, while contributing three assists and two steals... Scored nine points and grabbed nine bounds at Syracuse... Scored a season-high 12 points and tallied a career-high three steals at Providence... High School: Saint Patrick's in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where he was a teammate of Villanova University Basketball player, Mike Nardi.

Family: His father is a judge. He is very family oriented and has a special bond with his grandmother, who wears his jersey during the games. He has an older brother named Brad, who also played college basketball.
