Grand Prix de Paris

The Grand Prix de Paris is a Group 1 flat horse race in France first run in 1863. The race is for three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies run over a distance of 2,400 metres (approximately 1 mile 4 furlongs) at Longchamp Racecourse in mid July.

The current race distance was introduced in 2005, prior to which it was 2,000 metres (1 mile 2 furlongs). The date of the race also changed slightly, having previously been in late June.

The race as well as the Hippodrome de Longchamp track record for 2,400 metres is 2:24.30 and was set by Scorpion in 2005.
