Gran Akuma found a tag team partner in Icarus. They formed the babyface Team F.I.S.T. (Friends In Similar Tights.. In 2005 after a relative lack of success the team snapped and attacked Men@Work (Shane Storm & Mr. ZERO) after a match, turning heel for the first time. They then joined up with the Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, & Arik Cannon). At Brick on November 17,2006 at BRICK Team F.I.S.T. defeated their stablemates Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli for the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas. After the match Hero ordered Team F.I.S.T. to take out Castagnoli, and after a bit of initial hesitation they turned on Castagnoli and kicked him out of the group and out of Chikara.

Gran Akuma, along with fellow Chikara wrestlers Jigsaw and Hallowicked, are scheduled to debut for Ring of Honor on 4/27 and 4/28 in St. Paul and Chicago Ridge.
