The Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Female was presented from 1981 to 1991. In 1985 the award was combined with the award for Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Male as the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Performance. The award returned to individual awards for men and women in 1986, until 1992 when it was again combined into one award.
