Graham Price

Graham Price (born 24 November 1951 in Moascar, Egypt) is a former Welsh rugby union player who won 41 caps for Wales as a prop forward.

Price was educated at West Monmouth Grammar School and studied civil engineering at UWIST, Cardiff. He joined Pontypool after leaving school, and played at tight-head prop. With Bobby Windsor and Charlie Faulkner he became part of the legendary Pontypool Front Row, also known as the Viet Gwent.

He made his debut for Wales in 1975 in a game against France in Paris which Wales won by 25 points to 10 with Price scoring a 70 yard try. Grand Slams followed in 1976 and 1978. He retired from international rugby in 1983, his last game for Wales also a match against France in Paris.

Price played in 12 successive tests for the British and Irish Lions, touring New Zealand in 1977, South Africa in 1980 and New Zealand again in 1983.
