Gradski vrt

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gradski vrt (natively "City Garden") is a stadium in the Croatian city of Osijek and is home to NK Osijek, one of the top football clubs in the country and also Fortuna VNO Osijek.

It was built in the early 1980s and had its greatest attendance in 1982 for a match against Dinamo Zagreb when it drew 40,000 spectators.

The stadium has a seating capacity of 19,500. As part of Croatia and Hungary's bid for the 2012 European Football Championship, a new stadium would be built in Osijek having a much greater capacity.
