Alan comes from a lovely little town just outside Dublin, called Tallaght. It's well worth checking out if you're ever in the area.

Take the 56a bus from the city centre and get off at 'The Square' (which is actually a pyramid, so don't be confused).

Enjoy the fine local cuisine, and perhaps later get a taste for the Irish nightlife at the famous Belgard Tavern (where you might also catch Alan's father singing a song or two!)

Alan is also known as the lead soloist on the Lord of the Rings soundtrack.

Andrew was born in New Zealand. He grew up in Wellington, a seaside city, where he worked for several years playing mainly jazz and Irish music. He also studied guitar making in Canada, and during his earlier music years survived through various construction projects. The last of which being a yacht.. this kept him busy until he moved to Ireland in 2001

Nicola comes from a small town called Culleen, near Headford / Galway in the west of Ireland. It's famous for trout angling, ironage stone enclosures, castles, prehistoric burial cairns, monastic sites, Campbell's Tavern, and, of course, musicians!

Gerry was born in Dublin, although grew up in New Zealand, in the Hutt Valley. Gerry is a keen spear-fisherman. He now lives out by the sea in Galway.

Colin Farrell was born in Manchester , a city that has probably the strongest and most vibrant Irish traditional music scene outside of Ireland. Before joining Gráda, Colin had already made a name for himself, performing and recording with an array of great musicians in Europe and the USA (including the well known group, Flook)

Gráda are based in Dublin and Galway, Ireland, where they began playing together in 2001. The group draws from a wide range of influences, which has seen them working with Dave Hingerty (ex Frames drummer, now working a lot with Josh Ritter); Vyviene Long (cellist with Damien Rice); and, as a producer, Trevor Hutchinson (Lúnasa, Sharon Shannon, The Waterboys). Further additions have included Dublin based trumpeter Bill Blackmore.

In 2006,Grada played in 16 different countries.Touring places like;hong kong,America,Denmark ect... This earned them great praise as it showed there determination to succeed.
