GPA in Austria
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Austria, scholastic grades use a 5-point grading scale, where:
- 1 ("sehr gut" - "very good") is the best possible grade.
- 2 ("gut" - "good") is the next-highest.
- 3 ("befriedigend" - "satisfactory") indicates "average" performance.
- 4 ("genĂ¼gend" - "adequate") is the lowest passing grade.
- 5 ("nicht genĂ¼gend" - "unsatisfactory") is the lowest possible grade and the only failing grade (usually earned for 50% or less of maximum achievable credit).
