Gozu (牛頭, ゴズウ "Ox-Head") and Mezu (馬頭, メズウ "Horse-Head") are characters from SNK fighting games Savage Reign and Kizuna Encounter, from the Fu'un series. Both are ninjas from a mysterious and lethal clan named Jaguar and only can be recognized by the color of their costumes and their masks. Both have lethal claws that appear from their wristbands as weapons, named "Key Fingernails", similar to Mortal Kombat's Baraka or Marvel Comics's Wolverine.

Gozu is a ninja who wears a red ninja suit and a mask that resembles a bull. He enters to the tournament to spy on the events of the Battle of the Beast God Tournament and to avenge his brother.

Gozu is a killing machine who manipulates fire. He dared to appear in the Battle of the Beast God Tournament, determined to avenge the murder of one of his brothers who was killed at the hands of King Lion...

Mezu is a ninja who wears blue clothes and a mask that resembles a horse. His intentions are more diabolic than Gozu's own.

Assassination machine that manipulates water and ice and a ninja of "Dishonesty (Jaguar)". His brother is slaughtered by King Lion, and also seeks revenge. To subjugate his younger brother's enmity, Mezu enters the Battle of the Beast God Tournament.

Their names come from Gozumezu, a mythological demon in the Buddhist hell with a human body and the head of a bull or a horse. The last bit represents Gozu and Mezu's masks respectively.
The objective of both ninjas are to kill King Lion, and later Jyazu. Although both have the same objections, both have their own motivations behind it.
Gozu, Mezu and Jyazu are the only characters who can double jump in Kizuna Encounter.
The voice actor of both Gozu and Mezu in Fu'un series is Konichi Hayashi, the same voice actor who did Sho Hayate's voice.
