Syed Ali Gowher Rizvi, born 1948, in Bangladesh, is the Director of the Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation. A Rhodes Scholar, Rizvi received his D.Phil. from Trinity College, University of Oxford. Dr. Rizvi is married to Dr. Agnese Barolo-Rizvi, of Piedmont, Italy.
