Is the Link to candidates etc. link still valid/relevant? -FZ

While recent edits have added much, the article is currently written in opposition to the election of Schwarzenegger. While such opposition should be noted, I'm going to try and rewrite with a more NPOV. Alba 15:40, 21 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Actually, the Governor of California is the commander of a 'militia'. Its called The California State defense forces and the governor is the commander n chief that that organization. Today, the defense force is nothing more than a couple of medic units, but as late as WW2, it had actual fighting forces.
