As far as I know Janssens was appointed and mounted a small defense at Meester Cornelis against the British during Raffles' expedition of 1811 but his governorship did not last long. However his presence should at least be mentioned, which is why I added it. (From Wurtzburg's "Raffles of the Eastern Isles")
