Government-organized demonstration
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Government-organized demonstrations or state demonstrations are people demonstrations which are organized by the government of that nation.
The Islamic Republic of Iran,[1][2] the People's Republic of China,[3] Republic of Cuba,[4] and the Soviet Union[5] among other nations, have had government-organized demonstrations.
In Iran, Basij volunteers play a key role in these demonstrations. At such rallies, pressure groups such as Ansar-e-Hezbollah do not interfere.[citation needed] Demonstrations such as the anniversary of Islamic revolution, are organized by government. In these demonstrations people chant "Death to Israel" and "Death to America".[6][7]
