Gouveia (pron. IPA: [go(ou)'vɐiɐ]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 300.6 km² and a total population of 15,792 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 22 parishes, and is located in the District of Guarda.
The present Mayor is Álvaro dos Santos Amaro, elected by the Social Democratic Party.
The municipal holiday is the Monday after the 2nd Sunday of August.
