Gourmet Burger Kitchen is a restaurant chain in the south of England specializing in, as the name suggests, gourmet burgers.

GBK, as it's known, was developed by three New Zealander chefs living in London who missed the way food tasted in NZ where gourmet burgers are a favoured good quality convenient food. One of those chefs was Peter Gordon who has also designed menus for Air New Zealand and his own restaurant The Providores in London.

GBK requires that you pay at the counter when you order. To ensure that this does not discourage diners from ordering extra drinks or dessert, there is always someone at the counter ready to take an order.
