Goskino or USSR State Committee for Cinematography / State Committee of Russian Federation for Cinematography (Госкино, Государственный комитет по кинематографии СССР / Государственный комитет Российской Федерации по кинематографии) was the supreme government organ in charge of the cinematography of the Soviet Union, later (1992) re-created as the State Committee of Russian Federation [1].

It was absorbed by the USSR Ministry of Culture in 1953 but became an independent organization again in 1963.

It performed both general management and censorship functions.

In 1992 the State Committee of Russian Federation for Cinematography was created, which is also called Goskino. It has denied in 2006 a public release of the film "Borat" [2].
