The man is the most important figure in urban planning in Western Australia, he is in some way responsible for all planning decisions taken in Western Australia. His Plan for the Metropolitan Region, Perth and Fremantle, 1955 was considered the bible of planning in Western Australia for around 30 years. Absolutely notable. Refer the 1955 Metropolitan Region Scheme for Perth and Fremantle. Stephenson's scheme has become the blueprint for town planning in the Perth metropolitan area since then.
