Gorerotted is a British deathgrind band formed in 1997. Gorerotted's lyrics and song titles are largely inspired by horror films, and deal with subjects such as death and mutilation. In the style of many other similarly styled bands, a small audio excerpt from a horror film is often inserted at the beginning and/or end of a song. The band's song titles often incorporate humorous rhymes or puns such as "Cut, Gut, Beaten, Eaten", "Masticated by the Spasticated", and "Only Tools and Corpses", a pun on the popular British sitcom, Only Fools and Horses, the latter beginning with a suspiciously similar introductory drumbeat to the sitcom's theme music.

Musically, Gorerotted employ a distinctive dual vocal style, with Ben delivering a deep, rumbling growl, and either Mr. Gore or Wilson providing contrast to this with a high-pitched scream (since Mr. Gore's departure in 2004, Wilson has handled all the second vocal duties). The guitar riffs are often fast and technical, with the bass usually doubling these parts. Both the guitars and the bass utilise drop tunings, that is, tunings lower than the usual standard tuning, to achieve a heavier sound. The drumming is also extremely technical and fast, with Junky Jon often making use of blast beats and double bass.
