Gordon Richards Stakes

The Gordon Richards Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a distance of 1 mile 2 furlongs and 7 yards (2,018 metres) at Sandown Park Racecourse in late April.
It was first run in 1963 and was originally known as the Westbury Stakes and was renamed in 1987 in honour of Sir Gordon Richards, British flat champion jockey a record 26 times and rider of a record 4,870 winners of British flat races.
