This article is about the politician. For the Scottish actor, see Gordon Jackson (actor).

Gordon Jackson (born 5 August 1948) is the Labour MSP for Glasgow Govan. He studied law at the University of St Andrews.

Since 1990 he has been a QC, and despite his commitments to the parliament, he continues to be a practising lawyer, for which he has drawn a lot of criticism. In the Scottish Parliament he habit of spending large amounts of time away at Court and then returning to Parliament just before the vote at 5.00pm has earned him the knickname "Crackerjack" - after the children's programme Crackerjack that famously started at 4.55pm.

He is also an Honorary Vice-President of English-Speaking Union Scotland.
